WOW #88 Owning Split Squats (shoulders and abs!)

Equipment: step (or yoga block), dumbbells for upper and lower body. If balance is an issue with any of these just hold on to something! This workout is great for nailing the fundamentals of split squats but quickly incorporating some higher energy versions to get your heart rate up and muscles burning. We finish it out with some sneaky upper body and ab work. Solid head to toe.

I loved the cueing for the split squat exercises and the abdominal work at the end was—oof!—unbelievably hard and great work!

That twisted trunk rotation with resistance was awesome! I love the exercises you’re introducing me to for core that include a weight. And the cue about moving in the pubic bone for the lunge was also stellar!
