Calories/Macros: 518 kcal 72g Protein 8g Carbohydrate 22g Fat Ingredients: 200g lean ground beef 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon onion powder 2 large lettuce leaves (romaine or butter lettuce) 4 bacon medallions 2 slices low-fat cheese Method: - In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined. - Shape the mixture into two burger patties. - Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Cook the bacon medallions until crispy, then remove from the skillet and set aside. - In the same skillet, cook the burger patties for 4-5 minutes on each side. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of low-fat cheese on each patty to melt. - While the burgers are cooking, wash and dry your lettuce leaves. - Once the burgers are cooked, remove them from the skillet and let them rest for a minute. - Place each cooked burger patty on a lettuce leaf. Top each burger with 2 bacon medallions. - Wrap the leaf around the burger and enjoy. Customisation Ideas: - If you’ve got a lot of carbs to play with, ditch the lettuce for some good old-fashioned burger buns. - If these look too high in fat for your current macros, ditch the cheese and opt for a lean ground turkey instead. - Play around with other burger toppings like avocado or jalapenos!
