Protein French toast:
2-3 pieces of bread
2 eggs ( or egg whites )
A few splashed of almond milk
1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder
Coconut oil for the pan
Top:
Banana slices
Almond butter
Honey
Cinnamon
(I also added cacao nibs and bee pollen!)
In a flat, bowl or dish, whisk up the eggs, almond milk & protein powder. Make sure to get all the clumps out.
Dip and soak each piece of break in the mixture, then transfer the bread to a hot stovetop pan (greased with a little coconut oil)
Pour the remainder of the mix over the toast!
Cover with a lid and let sit on medium/low heat for a few minutes, check occasionally & once the bottom is golden, flip and repeat on the other side.
While the toast is cooking, sauce or air fry some banana slices with a little cinnamon & honey to get caramelized banana slices! I airfried mine at 375F for 7 minutes!
Transfer the French toast to a plate & top with the caramelized bananas, almond butter, honey, etc.
