You’re the first teacher I’ve heard teach a twist in this posture. For a few years, I’ve been squaring my hips straight ahead. As if I’m doing an actual split with a bind. I feel this variation strengthen my backside tremendously while opening my shoulder.

There is so much strength of different muscles involved in all these postures, I was doing them in a much more passive and also easier way but also with less integrity and support and less probability to continue deepening them with time. Thank you for such detailed instructions!
