-Run the first mile easy -Then go straight into 6 miles at goal marathon pace plus one minute per mile (so if your goal marathon pace is 7 minute pace then you will run 8 minute pace for these miles). -Then run the next 6 miles at goal marathon pace. -Then an easy 2 mile cool down
