This week, I’m saying no to going extremely hard in my workouts that leave me so sore, even though I want to lift heavy and hit some PR’s. I’ve said no to excuses, like procrastinating my workouts. Saying no to junk food and nurturing my body with protein and whole foods.

This message spoke to my soul right now. Going thru a time of not being where i want to (games 25 pounds due to perimenopause, looking for work for almost a year now and living out of my suitcase in my parents house which is a very negative environment). I could write and write about all the things in this message... It's a relief to finally realize not every workout had to be balls to the wall and what matters is the effort. Wow.... If i don't stop typing, I'll bet stop haha. Thank you!

This definitely hit home for me as I was sitting here being upset with myself for being “behind” in this challenge. I had a difficult time shifting my mindset the first 2 weeks but have continued to remind myself that I started small and I’m building on that. A lot of people may be in week 5 right now, but I’m in week 3 and THATS OKAY!! Prior to listening to this I was thinking about quitting or stopping replying because of embarrassment of being behind, but this was the reminder I needed to push forward and say no to my own self doubt and insecurity!
