Alexis

Repeat the series of stretches for 3-5 minutes. Before your workouts, you should be doing dynamic stretches! 

Meaning do not HOLD a movement. Continue moving through the motions!

- Standing straight holding onto a stationary object
- With feet hip width apart
- Swing one leg forward and backward in a single movement 
- Switch sides and repeat

Forward leg swings

- Stand tall and hold onto a stationary surface
- Raise one leg as far out to the side as possible 
- Allow your leg to swing back down crossing in front of your standing leg
- Repeating the movement for reps
- Work both sides

DB Hip Thrust

Lay on a decline bench or sit up bench. Hold yourself in place by grabbing the top of the bench, above your head. Set the dumbbell on the floor, standing straight up. Grab the dumbbell between your feet and pull your feet towards your glutes. Continue for the set reps. Be sure to keep your back flat and don't arch.

- Place one foot on a bench, box or step in front of you.
- Maintaining a tall posture, press off of the elevated foot with even pressure and step completely onto the bench.
- Lower your foot down as slowly as possible and avoid using momentum to 'bounce' off of the floor.

Yes!! This week I’ve realized it’s not about losing weight, it’s the strength built!! This strength training has helped me get back into jogging; my legs haven’t been tired at all from jogging! Growth!! ❤️
