About Stephen Navaretta

Online personal trainer

Stephen Navaretta, otherwise known as Brooklyn Tank, hails from Brooklyn NY, and is a master of calisthenics and functional bodyweight training. He has built an impressive physique and unique skillset as an athlete, encouraging the broader fitness community to safely experiment with new and innovative training styles, and that sometimes you can achieve more with less. Brooklyn Tank grew up in neighborhoods that were a little rough around the edges, but which provided lots of urban obstacles like playgrounds, that he gladly used as a resource for exercise. With a breakdancing background, he was already able to do extraordinary things with his body and his training has naturally evolved and developed into a hybrid of weights, gymnastics, and functional strength training that he now loves to share with his following and clients.

Frequently asked questions

Does the workouts require any equipment?
No. Only for lower body do I use equipment. For upper body I do all bodyweight training. I like to call my training “power bodyweight” feeling like you have complete control with your body’s weight is an indescribable feeling, one I live for. _ I use weights for lower body and for my calisthenics training. I’ve used weights in the past (over 8 years ago) and am super excited to show you all the exercises I did to help build my physique.
What type of workouts are you sharing?
Weight lifting, calisthenics, my training - “power bodyweight” weighted calisthenics, advanced calisthenics moves. Handstands, levers and much more.
What’s the main goal for your workouts?
Longevity of the body. Do my exercises to be incredibly strong & fit now and as you age. Do exercises with perfect form and stretching daily to help build and maintain our health.
