Breathwork & Movement

Get started today!

Collection of breath-work protocols & workouts to optimize your health and performance. Breath is the most universal tool to enhance health & performance, yet, many of us are unaware of how to properly breathe and when to use different patterns/styles to control our environments we are in. Through exploration and Harrison's certifications from Dr. Belisa's Breathing For Warriors program, and Patrick Mckeown's Oxygen Advantage. Thought leaders in this space: - Patrick Mckeown https://oxygenadvantage.com/ - Dr. Belisa https://www.thebreathingclass.com/about-dr-belisa - James Nestor https://www.mrjamesnestor.com/ Bringing movement rhythm and breathe control together. This is when we are changing shapes and transitioning where the demands of our breath will increase and where movement rhythm is powerful so we maintain composure and focus as we move and transition so will maintain skills. Also helps keep air moving in and out of system in a way that helps us control output from our energy systems. Not a lot of us have organized structure around the way we are breathing and moving and as a result it is easy for our body to start self regulating in a way that might not become optimal for the outcome we want. If we can control the rhythm of movement and breath and keep going together we are going to get a better result ti get more out of training and performance. All of these workouts will start (up-regulating) and end (down regulating) with a breathing protocol and have focus on organizing our body position with sound breathing during the workouts. You will learn to breathe in different gears during different workouts and movements. Our goals are to be able to develop our nasal airways and respiratory muscle awareness to engage, activate and use our primary breathing muscles longer and more efficiently.

Testimonials

After working with Harrison I am extremely confident with the tool box of protocols and routines I can use on and off the ice this season. I have a whole new approach to using the breath to enhance my performance on ice but also recovery off the ice. Understanding how to recover faster is the name of the game and what Harrison taught me is changing my approach. Michael Kapla - SHL Player

Harrison has taught me functional breathing techniques and in 3 sessions over 3 weeks of practice I was able to take 40 seconds off my fastest time on a uphill running time trial....my aerobic capacity is much greater, sensitivity to CO2 build up is much better and my respiratory muscles are stronger. Breath is now a tool for my racing toolbox.

About Sauna Papi

Breath, Mindset & Movement Specialist

Luis Leonardo, the Sauna Papi, and his right hand man, Harrison Klein are pioneering the development of protocols to optimize human health & performance and take control of your life! Serving as their own lab rats, on a search for the most universal performance and wellness enhancing routines, they discovered the power of applying breath and intentional practices to sauna, cold therapy and movement modalities. Luis, an ex-professional triathlete with over 3 decades in the health & fitness industry, who is the founder of Embrace North a sauna and cold therapy service in Minneapolis (now with 800 subscribers), teamed up with Breath & Movement Specialist, Harrison Klein, who is endlessly curious about expanding the human spirit, to open their gym, called Built To Breathe that implements a “breath first” approach to all of the current training modalities. They are combining concepts from Embrace North/Built To Breathe and now facilitate “Sauna Papi” exposure workshops combining nature, movement, breath-work, cold water immersion and sauna therapy. Understanding how stress and our relationship with stress shapes our human behavior is a key part of what they are pursuing. Their core objectives are to tear down the traditional blocks in breathwork practices, remove any stigmas behind suffer culture in the fitness industry, and make these tools available to all audiences, regardless of the entry point. These two believe breath control is the most powerful tool for improving resilience, managing stress, and enhancing human performance for EVERY living human. They now want to share these amazing experiences they are facilitating and practicing daily with the masses, as they serve as a strategic launch pad for people to experience personal transformation. The Sauna Papi Lifestyle app challenges your mental game just as much as physical and emphasizes the importance of recovery in the form of breathwork, intentional movement, sauna and cold therapy.
