Yoga Therapist & Teacher

Hi! I’m Rebecca and I’m so honored you’re here! I’ve been naturally drawn to meditative movement practices all my life, although I didn’t discover yoga until my late 20s. As a young adult, I used my morning runs to quiet my mind and to practice being present. I was diagnosed with scoliosis in my 20s and discontinued running due to pain. It was then I turned to yoga as a way to find the quietness I missed from running. My yoga practice began simply—with incorporating sun salutations into my morning routine. After practicing on my own and noting the physical benefits, I wanted to learn more, which led to yoga teacher training, starting a studio, and becoming a yoga therapist. I hold a master’s degree in Yoga Therapy, am a Certified Yoga Therapist with the International Association of Yoga Therapists, an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher and Continuing Education Provider through Yoga Alliance, and have completed multiple 200- and 300-hour yoga teacher trainings. I am also a graduate of the Living School at the Center for Action and Contemplation where I studied meditation and contemplative living. I provide yoga therapy, coaching for yoga instructors, teacher trainings, and general classes—both virtually and in the Atlanta, GA, area.
You’ll find the practices I offer focus on physical alignment, strengthening, mobility, and creative use of props, all while learning to align with your breath, mind, and spirit. I also offer yoga therapy practices specifically focused on autonomic nervous system regulation and tools for mindfulness and stress management. Thank you for sharing your practice with me!
Training Requirements
My yoga practices can be done at home, but you’ll need a yoga mat, yoga blocks, a belt, and blankets as starter props. I LOVE props, so I may introduce you to new yoga tools—feel free to check out my website—I have a page dedicated to props I love and recommend!
