I created this program as a means to empower myself again. While going through one of the toughest bouts of depression in my life, I lost interest in the thing I loved the most...and that was fitness. Rather than using fitness to lift myself up, I was tearing myself down. This wasn’t how I wanted to stay. I wanted to put the emphasis back on feeling strong, powerful, and unstoppable. I wanted a program that made me surprise myself after every session. One that I was excited for and left me feeling that insane post workout high. A program that made sense to me and one that lifted me up! No program out there gave that to me, so I made it myself. Welcome to POWER & STRENGTH. This program focuses on building power in yourself through various training modalities that are meant to not only make your body powerful, but your overall being powerful. Trust me, you will know what I am talking about ;) This program also focuses on building strength physically and mentally making every day tasks seem effortless. For the most part you will find that this program is low impact, but don’t take that as easy. IT WILL CHALLENGE YOU. The goal is to find the power and strength within yourself. It’s to show up for yourself as you are right now because you are strong! You are powerful! And you are unstoppable! Hey and welcome! My name is Michelle (but most people call me Meesh). I am a NASM certified personal trainer and have been since 2016. I’m a huge advocate of making sure fitness is used as a tool to empower and strengthen yourself not just physically, but more importantly, MENTALLY. As someone who has struggled with her mental health and body image for years, I know how difficult it can be to unlearn the bs that the fitness industry has packaged and sold. I know how damning it feels, how never being enough it feels, how all consuming it feels.. It wasn’t until I started refocusing what fitness is truly for did I begin to experience how powerful of a tool it can really be. How much it currently helps manage my major depressive disorder. How much it shows me DAILY what I am capable of. How in tune I can be with my body and move it in a way that it needs or doesn’t need, guilt free. The boost of confidence it gives me. The list is endless. Fitness can be the missing puzzle piece you’ve been looking for if you allow it to be. With the right intentions in a style of training you love you can make it so and you’ve found the trainer to help you make it happen. Remember that you are not alone in your darkest hours. You’ve got backup and you’ve found it. Let’s strengthen our bodies and minds through fitness.

It depends on the workout! Playbook has a lot of workouts that require no equipment. We also have workouts that require minimal equipment (like dumbbells or a yoga mat) and some that require weight-lifting machines. There’s something for everyone — regardless of equipment — to help you get in shape.
