Welcome to the 6- week dumbbell and bands program! This program is designed for anyone and everyone, but specifically those who want to work out at home with the minimal equipment they have. For this program, you will only need a set of dumbbells and a few large and small resistance bands! This program will contain a mix of bodybuilding, functional lifts, and some CrossFit-style endurance workouts. This means the you will gain strength and endurance to bring to all your other sports and adventures! Workouts will be posted 3 times a week. The format will be Monday - Lower Body, Wednesday - Upper Body, Friday - Full Body. I will not be posting suggested weights, since I understand that you may not have access to all sizes of DBs. I will post suggested reps, however you may want to add reps if you have lighter DBs, or decrease reps if you have heavier DBs. Please modify accordingly so that you are challenging yourself with each set and each workout. Most of all, always have fun! Contact me if you have any questions! Welcome! I am so looking forward to helping you become the best version of yourself! I started this app with the intention of helping active people bring strength training into their routines so that they can reap the benefits in all aspects of their lives. However, whether you’re a first-time exerciser, adventurer looking to avoid injury, or an avid gym-goer, there is a place for you here. I can’t wait for you to find the strength and confidence you need and deserve to live your life to its fullest. I come from a family of fitness fanatics. My sister owns a nutrition coaching business (@mybodzii), my brother is a Level 3 CrossFit Trainer and CrossFit HQ staff member, and my 65-year old dad lifts more than I do! Inspired by my siblings, I decided to do my undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at McGill University in Montreal. I grew up in a rural town riding horses, skiing, and biking, which turned into competing in CrossFit as I got older. Currently, I take a well-rounded approach to fitness, which involves playing in the mountains as much as possible, doing workouts I enjoy, and helping others find strength and balance.

Do I need to purchase equipment?
It depends on the workout! Playbook has a lot of workouts that require no equipment. We also have workouts that require minimal equipment (like dumbbells or a yoga mat) and some that require weight-lifting machines. There’s something for everyone — regardless of equipment — to help you get in shape.
