This program is progressive overload focused which means you will follow the same exact workouts for 4 weeks at a time before moving onto the next phase.This will allow you to apply progressive overload and improve each week! Progressive overload is KEY in building muscle in the gym! Aim to get 1% better each week, whether thatโ€™s by increasing the weight, time under tension, reps, etc. The last reps should be a challenge, but always remember that form matters more than weight!๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

Hello and WELCOME my app, so happy you are here.โ˜ป My name is Amy! I have lost and maintained a 120lb weight loss and have found my passion for health + fitness through my own personal journey. Ever since I can remember, my weight has always been something that was a struggle for me. During my parents divorce as a child, I quickly turned to food as a source of comfort and as a coping mechanism and I took that into my adult life. I was prescribed my first diet pill at 9 years old and cycled on and off of it throughout high school. Eventually, I saw the scale read 292lbs at 19 years old and I knew I needed a change. Diet pills weren't working, I could barely do body weight exercises without being in pain, I had 0 motivation to get out of bed or to simply exist. I was beyond unhappy and uncomfortable in my body and the thought of spending the rest of my life feeling that way was terrifying to say the least. I ended up having vertical sleeve gastrectomy surgery in 2019. Since then, I have lost over 120 pounds and have gained my life back. Throughout my journey with weight loss, one of the most valuable things that I gained was a love for fitness and the gym. For the first time in my life, I was no longer fighting against my body, but rather I was working along it to be the healthiest, strongest, and best version of myself. The peace and confidence that I have found in my own journey is what inspired me to pass it forward to other women. And that is how Amy Jo Fit was born! As a certified personal trainer, my mission is to make fitness accessible for the everyday woman - the woman who wants to find her best-self, the woman that wants to fall in love with moving her body, and the woman that is simply ready for that next chapter of her life to begin.
