We need to be able to make adjustments based on how the defense guards Screens. If they go over the top of the screen we need to be able to get to space. Today we look at a flare series.

If your defender jumps over the top of the screen you can look to flare. If they closeout to contest the shot, attack the rim and finish underneath.

Reverse Layup (Partner)

On your flare, catch the ball in a split stance to attack the rim as quickly as possible.

Flare to 1 Dribble Pull

Focus on getting your feet underneath your hips so that you can shoot the ball as soon as you catch it.

Flare to Shot

If you catch the ball with your feet under your hips immediately you are able to sell shot. If the defender lunch at you simply shot fake and step to the side so that you remain outside of the three-point line.
