The first time you move should be in the morning, not during your 8 PM training session! By moving in the morning, we lubricate our joints, nourish our muscles and prime our bodies for movement throughout the day. If you have ever trained twice in a day, you know what I’m talking about. It’s simply easier to get moving again the second time around. Cavemen did not have to warm up before a hunt. Warming up is an invention we had to create to combat a modern lifestyle that reserves movement for specific situations. Of course we still need to warm up before sessions! But by staying consistent with this routine, we improve our health, posture and movement capacity as athletes/humans. Let this routine be a way for you to get started with your day on the right foot, allowing for less stiffness and more fluidity throughout your day. Takes 15 minutes and feels great!
