HIIT stands for high intensity interval training. It’s short routines that contain an interval of a burst of maximum effort/activity followed by an interval of rest/recovery.
What’s the difference between HIIT & HIIT+? My HIIT routines contain routines without any added resistance such as dumbbells & ankle weights.
My HIIT+ routines contain routines that use skipping rope, dumbbells and ankle weights.
What does 30/30, 45/30, etc. mean? The first number is the time of activity/work and the second interval is the time of rest/recovery.
Example:
30/30 means 30 seconds of activity followed by 30 seconds of rest.
45/30 means 45 seconds of activity followed by 30 seconds of rest.
Do I need to do a warm up or cool down? Absolutely! Start with one of my dynamic warm ups and for the cool down make sure you choose one that targets all the muscle groups.
