55 years old fart perspective: pulled a muscle last June while doing a simple Wide forwards pull up stretch… not EVEN a Pull up … just a stretch !!! It did not mend until October. 1) I don’t have a chin up bar at my house & even if I did , I would have aggravated the bicep area by hanging for so long. Soooo, 2) I lay on my decline weight bench & touched my toes to the weight bar on the Smith machine… & the curl down for the abs with the Smith machine was okay but it was VERY awkward : it hurt my bicep to hang on & I felt zero resistance in my abs 🤷‍♂️. .. I will do more!

This was tough. Do you have any recommendations on how to keep your grip solid on some of these pull up bars? Seems like the ones at my gym are rubber and my hands slip like crazy. Thinking about investing in gloves if nothing else
