About Chris Chang

Coach and Fitness Tech Entrepreneur

Chris has coached CEOs, professional athletes, and even other fitness professionals. With over 25 fitness certifications, a master's in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech, and having been a semi-pro athlete himself, Chris is one of the country’s foremost wellness and fitness experts as well as a thought leader in fitness technology. After leaving a career in engineering, Chris took his biomechanics expertise to Equinox as a personal trainer, quickly being promoted to highest level as a Tier X Coach and EFTI Master Instructor teaching the education for Equinox's personal training staff worldwide. He became StrongFirst certified in Kettlebells and was asked to return as an assistant coach to teach the cert. He has been featured by Health Magazine, Nike, Under Armour, and in May 2017 he was honored to shoot the cover of the iconic Runner's World Magazine. Chris is currently the Director of Exercise and Product Manager at Ergatta. He lives in Austin, Texas with his wife, Allison.

Do I need to purchase equipment?
It depends on the workout! Playbook has a lot of workouts that require no equipment. We also have workouts that require minimal equipment (like dumbbells or a yoga mat) and some that require weight-lifting machines. There’s something for everyone — regardless of equipment — to help you get in shape.
