At home workout for beginners, targets the glutes with a mini band

- Stand with feet shoulder width apart band around knees
- Lower in to the bottom of a squat pushing your hips back and down
- Stand up out of squat to full hip extension keeping your chest up
- Your knees should be inline with your toes
- add an abduction at the top then repeat squat with abduction on opposite leg

Squat to abduction

-band on above your knees
-drop to a low squat position
- step one foot out, other foot follows keeping tension on the band
- feet should never come all the way together to keep tension on band
-slow small steps 10 one way, then repeat 10 on other side

Banded side steps

- Position yourself on your hands and knees, with a band just above your knees
- Keeping your knee in a bent position, hips squared
- Kick your leg back and up toward the ceiling, engaging your glutes 
- Return to starting position
- Complete desired reps then repeat on the opposite side

Banded donkey kicks

- Position yourself on your hands and knees
- Keeping your knee in a bent position
- Lift your knee away from the midline of the body
- Pause at the top of the motion 
- Slowly return to the starting position

Fire hydrants

- Lay on the floor with your legs bent and a band above your knees 
- Push through your heels bringing your glutes up
- Keeping your feet aligned with your knees 
- Push your legs out against the band and back in
- Ensure your movement against the resistance is smooth and controlled
