This programming was inspired by my journey at Solidcore, a high-intensity low impact fitness class. Think of this as pilates-inspired movements mixed with strength training. All of the movements are meant to be performed SLOWLY…if you think you are going slow, GO SLOWER!
This program is meant to be difficult and push you to use your core and move your body in a way you may have not before. If you feel yourself struggling a lot at the beginning of the program, YOU ARE DOING IT RIGHT! Do not give up and do not be hard on yourself. I guarantee by week 4 you will be completing movements you could barely do week 1 (yay, progressive overload).
Be mindful of your breathing (aka do not forget to breathe), and take a water break anytime you need it. There are no breaks queued up, you take them as you feel you need, but don’t be afraid to push yourself! You’re stronger than you think. Tempo count for all movement is a 4 count - meaning 4 seconds on the way down, and 4 seconds on the way up.
I wanted to program workouts that were loosly inspired by Solicore classes. You have 4 days a week programmed out for you for 4 weeks. The workouts will not change over the 4 week period as Solidcore classes are very repetitive. You will be doing the same kinds of movements a lot to ensure you are consistently hitting those tiny muscles you didn’t know existed.
Once finished with the first month, I challenge you to repeat this program and go through each move even MORE SLOWLY than you did before!
You are strong. You are capable. You are a badass woman.
Okay queen, LET’S DO THIS!
