Yoga & Meditation Instructor

My name is Sarah, I am a 200hr certified yoga instructor specializing in Ashtanga, Hatha and Yin Yoga. I found yoga in college and immediately fell in love with the practice. After just one class, I knew I wanted to become a teacher. I was fascinated by the inner workings of the practice and excited to dive deeper into aspects such as meditation and breath work. I saw my teacher training program as an opportunity to do just that! While my program was nothing short of amazing, I knew I had my work cut out for me. I was the youngest participant and by far the least experienced. So, I made a commitment to myself that I would soak up every last bit of information I could with the goal to land a full-time teaching job afterwards. Not only did I become a successful, full-time yoga instructor, but I was one of three students to be hired on as a teacher during my actual training. Since my TT, I have continued my education by attending local workshops and masterclasses, including multiple workshops with Kino McGregor and David Swenson. After years of searching for an accredited mentor to work 1:1 with in the Ashtanga yoga method, I finally became and apprentice under Jovan Tevin. I am currently studying independently with Jovan, working towards my 500hr certification and learning the art of Ashtanga Yoga and the Mysore teaching method. With 8 years of teaching and 10+ years of practice and learning, my classes and workshops are rooted in building healthy strength and mobility, as well as understanding the more subtle aspects of yoga. My classes are both mentally and physically challenging, always encouraging students to dive deeper and stay curious. I joined this space so I could share the aspects of yoga that often get left out of studio classes, and to make yoga more accessible to those ready to learn.
