Do you ever feel 'disconnected' in your movement? Many of us are aware of different regions of the body, but are less familiar with how they work together. In the Rotational Athlete Program, we stress the importance of training “anatomical slings”, or known chains of our movement system that allow us to produce great force and stability. The Anterior Oblique Sling consists of Pecs, obliques & opposite side adductors The Posterior Oblique Sling consists of Lats, thoracolumbar fascia and glutes The Lateral Sling consists of Gluteus medius and opposite side QL Basically, these slings draw Xs across our body, helping us to both transfer and absorb forces from the ground up. These slings center around the spine, which is at the core of our body. Rather than thinking of core training as some isolated spinal movements, our goal is to help you – and your body understand the importance of training all planes of motion so that we may maximize athletic performance and longevity. We cannot develop sufficient and safe rotational power without the mobility to rotate through our joints. Areas of interest when it comes to rotational power development are the shoulder girdle, thoracic spine, hips and feet. We also require stability, or core stiffness in order to be able to coil and explode in our athletic movement. Each phase will build on the last, helping you to develop monstrous athletic potential while keeping your joints healthy and resilient.

Neil Toussaint is a Doctor of Physical Therapy, Athletic Trainer, Health and Wellness Coach to top performers in the Atlanta TV/Film industry.
