The premise of the Desert Eagle Program came as a result of this video: https://www.instagram.com/p/CgxCZHvAViW/ Basically, I noticed some imbalances when trying to perform a max pistol squat lift a few months ago. If the imbalances came out there, where else would they show? Spoiler alert: I have also noticed this imbalance in my Tricking. Make sure you watch the introduction video to get the most out of this program and to hear more about my experience with doing this program 👍 If you feel like you want to train your single leg stability and power to be better than it’s ever been, this program is for you. And if you want to join and don’t have a pistol – no worries! you can do it assisted or Bulgarian style on your first go around. I guarantee that you will have improved your strength, stability and power greatly by the end of this program. THIS IS NOT just "a pistol squat program". It incorporates many exercises to improve our athleticism. Squats improve our ability to explode in all planes of movement (Sagittal, Frontal, Transverse) They also protect us in landing as we have to basically squat quickly against gravity at every ground impact. Additionally, there is a LOT of research showing more muscle translating to more jump height and reduced risk of injury All of the above is enough for me to go in on this workout – and to share it with you! The squat is a MOVEMENT PATTERN, not just a specific exercise! This pattern is seen in all shapes, sizes and depths in athletics and everyday life. Why am I going this route versus traditional strength training, where you may see two leg squats, deadlifts, etc.? - Unilateral strength - Core stability - coordination This program is 2x/week for 6 weeks, with a Max Effort Day and Dynamic Effort Day. Each workout is about 60-75 minutes. No two workouts are the same! You will be working hard - so be sure to rest 72 hours between workouts. Let's get into it!
