About the program

Strong As a Mother is a 27-week strength and lifestyle system built for women who want structure, science-backed training, and results that last. Each week follows a strategic split: Lower Body, Upper Body Push, Cardio + Core & Mobility, Upper Body Pull + HIIT, Lower Body, an optional Full Body Conditioning day, and a Rest Day. The program runs in 3-week blocks so workouts stay the same long enough for you to master movements, build confidence, and progressively get stronger — then they change to keep your body adapting. You’ll learn deep core and TVA breathing, how to train with effective HIIT and SIT, and how to lift with purpose as the intensity increases throughout the 27 weeks. You also get an in-depth nutrition guide built for women: cycle awareness, pre/post-workout fueling, protein and fiber foundations, seasonal eating, and realistic lifestyle strategies. A flexible 6-week, high-protein meal plan helps you implement everything with ease. Mindset coaching from licensed therapist Jessica gives you tools to break all-or-nothing thinking, build self-trust, and stay consistent in real life.     What is the Strong As a Mother program?
    Strong As a Mother is a 27-week strength and lifestyle program designed for busy women who want structure, progress, and a body that feels powerful again. It combines science-backed training, simple nutrition, mindset coaching, and a 6-week meal plan to help you build consistent habits that last.
    Who is this program for?
    SAM is for women in any season of life — moms, working women, athletes returning after a break, postpartum women who are cleared to train, or anyone ready to build real strength and consistency. If you want a structured plan that fits real life, this program is for you.
    How much time do the workouts take?
    Most workouts range from 30–45 minutes, especially in the beginning. But it varies from person to person. As you progress deeper into the program and your strength increases, some sessions become more challenging and may take closer to 45–50 minutes depending on your pace and rest needs. Everything is structured so you can move efficiently, stay focused, and keep making progress without spending hours in the gym.
    Is this manageable for busy moms?
    Yes — the entire program was designed around real life. The structure helps you stay consistent even with a full schedule, and the progressive overload phases make sure your time is used effectively. Many moms do the program during nap time, early mornings, or after bedtime.
    I’m a beginner. Can I do this?
    Absolutely. The program guides you through clear progressions so you get stronger week by week. You’ll always know exactly what to do and how to do it. However, if you feel like you'd like more guidance, you can always try my beginner 12-week program before doing this one.

    SAM is a structured 27-week training system built around true progressive overload and intentional progression. The program is divided into 3-week blocks, where the workouts stay the same for three weeks before changing. This structure allows you to: • master movement patterns • build confidence in your lifts • track real strength progress • increase weights and intensity safely • see and feel meaningful improvement Throughout the program, you’ll train strength, mobility, and conditioning with purpose.     Mom. Trainer. Nutrition Specialist. Coach. Entrepreneur.

    Hey, I’m Eliza Katoa — mom of three, wife, certified personal trainer, entrepreneur, and one of seven kids. I’m obsessed with women’s strength, family time, lazy beach vacations, sushi, and a good homemade burger. I’m so glad you’re here. My mission is simple: help women find joy, confidence, and empowerment through strength. I believe the most powerful transformation begins with believing you’re capable of more — more strength, more energy, more self-trust, and more confidence in every part of your life. I created the Katoa Fitness App to build a community of women committed to becoming their strongest selves. I’ve had the privilege of guiding thousands through their fitness journeys, and nothing fulfills me more than watching women step into their power and rewrite what they believe is possible. My love for training started during my early-morning lifts as a D1 Pac-12 volleyball athlete. I was surrounded by an incredible team of coaches, PTs, dietitians, sports scientists, and sports psychologists who shaped my understanding of what true health looks like — physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual balance working together. After college, I trained clients 1:1 and in group settings before launching Katoa Fitness, where I’ve worked with hundreds of inspiring women and men. The best part of my job will always be witnessing someone push past self-doubt and choose a healthier, stronger version of themselves.
