I joined Tonya's 12 week challenge in May because I wanted to change the way I approached fitness. For years I tried various short-course workouts, diet plans, even 75 Hard (twice)...and every time I felt like when it was over, it was time to go be "normal" again. Every time this happened, I fluctuated back to my pre-workout plan state with both fitness and nutrition. Then came The Beauty Brigade...full of insight, support from kind and generous women of all ages and lifestyles, and a WEALTH of information that I had never heard before. On top of all of that, I chose to go all in with coaching with Tonya for added personal accountability. It was a breeze to follow her nutrition and workout guides precisely as I navigated the challenge too. I walked away with more than I imagined possible! On top of losing weight, I lost 7.75 total inches AND found a lifestyle pattern with nutrition that is perfect for me! I DO want an active lifestyle with my young kids, I DO want to invest time in my personal health every day, and I also want to feel safe to enjoy the treats and fun things too...and she showed me how that is not only possible, but the RIGHT way to approach a healthy and balanced life.

On January 2nd of this year I started a journey to a healthier life, I committed to honoring my body, my vessel. I joined The Beauty Brigade, an incredibly supportive group of women working towards the same general goals of a life filled with healthier habits and loving ourselves. I have participated in two 12 week challenges that have brought me to where I am today. 34.8 lbs lighter, a healthier relationship with food thru tracking what I eat and realizing you can still have what you enjoy eating just in moderation, weighing and measuring are not the devil LOL. I enjoy my home workouts with Brent and going to the gym with my mom. I smile when I look in the bathroom mirror when I see my body instead of frown and I’ve read countless books on personal development and taken lots of important nuggets from them. The work is far from complete and this part of my journey has only just begun but I’m feeling good and seeing results and nothing is out of my reach!! Thank you Thee Tonya Johnson for creating this group and safe space for women from all over to come together and support each other in life, the work you do is life changing!!

My Story

Hey there Beauty, I’m Tonya! I’m so glad you’re here! I hope this app helps you fall in love with putting yourself first and helping you feel strong, confident, and beautiful in the process! A little about me… I was never big into sports or anything fitness related growing up. My only movement came from my love for the outdoors exploring nature every way I possibly could. In my early 20’s I fell pretty heavily into drinking and partying after battling a disease called endometriosis, which led to a hysterectomy a few short years later. At that point I had lost myself. After picking up the pieces and trying to put my life back together, I knew my health needed to change, and drastically. I was sick and tired of being sick and tired. That’s when my passion for nutrition and fitness came about. Since then I started traveling full-time, now living in a self converted van, and have found what it means to live a healthy lifestyle, while helping others do the same. Through my trials of going through what I did… losing my confidence, not loving my body, and feeling trapped in the stories and lies of not ever being able to get my body to look the way I wanted it to, I have been able to discover my strength, regain my confidence, and find my true beauty within. If you haven’t had success with other workout apps in the past, you may be skeptical about mine. But I'm here to tell you, I guarantee you’ll get the results you want with me. Why? I don’t give you one-off programs of PDF documents with no assistance. I add new programs (with interactive, explanatory videos) on a regular basis. My content is new, fresh, and ever-changing to keep you motivated and ready to work! Plus, if you need help, I am always here for you. You can message me directly if you have any questions, feedback, or simply want to share your success.
I'm a beginner, will I be able to do your workouts?
No matter where you are in your fitness journey, I can help you succeed. Workouts and programs posted in the app are for any level of fitness. Plus, I walk you through all exercises with easy-to-follow videos and simple written instructions. This means you’ll be able to do all the moves easily, accurately, and safely.
Do I need to purchase equipment?
It depends on the workout! I have a lot of workouts that require no, or minimal equipment (like dumbbells or resistance bands).
