Welcome to Press Mechanics, a program designed to help you understand and achieve a press to handstand.
Before starting this program, it is highly recommended that you can comfortably hold a 10 to 15 second handstand, as many of the drills will require that level of control and stability.
This program will require access to open wall space, dumbbells, resistance bands, and a foam roller. If you do not have some of this equipment, feel free to message me for modifications based on your specific setup.
One of the best parts about this program is that you can continue working toward your press while still focusing on other areas of fitness such as running, strength training, Hyrox, and more, as each week only includes two workouts plus one optional workout if you have extra time.
Press to handstands are one of the most challenging strength skills to master, so be patient with yourself throughout the process. You can cycle through each week one to three times, and some weeks may require even longer depending on your progress.
