Dumbbells, Determination, and Results!

Low impact, heavy lifting workouts to ensure you squat, lunge, deadlift, push, pull and plank twice per week for results! With full-body focused workouts, this curated and progressive program ensures consistency without overwhelming your schedule. Over the course of 6 weeks, you'll experience improvements in muscular strength, endurance, and body composition. Coaching to ensure you are challenge yourself, consistent and hitting the mark with your form, range of motion and load. Beyond the physical changes, you'll gain confidence, energy, and a newfound appreciation for what your body can achieve.

    About Tara Lyn Emerson

    Welcome! I’m your coach Tara Lyn Emerson, and I am so glad you are here. Coaching and fitness are more than just a passion of mine. It feels like throwing paint on a canvas and bringing a vision (or goal) to life- it’s my art! As the daughter of a professional tennis coach, some would think fitness would be in my DNA. However, I am NOT a genetically gifted athlete. I was diagnosed with a degenerative neuromuscular disease as a young child, which means that I’ve always had to work a bit harder to stay strong. Charcot Marie Tooth disease causes progressive weakness and atrophy to my lower legs, feet and hands and there is no medical cure. In life, we are all given some adversity, and our strength comes from how we handle it. Keeping my body and mind strong has always been an important aspect of my life since I was diagnosed. I love the TRX suspension trainer because exercising with this tool has made me strong and stable without breaking me. Additionally, doing stretching with Dr. Voyer’s ELDOA spinal therapy method delivers mobility and freedom of articulation in my joints. You won’t believe this but ELDOA stretching has even helped me grow 1.25 inches taller (restoring my high school height)! Now, I am the strongest I have ever been in my life. Instead of getting worse, I am getting better and defying the odds. To be the best athlete I can be, TRX and ELDOA are my key ingredients for stability and mobility.     Frequently asked questions

    I'm a beginner, is STRONGER Immersion for me?
    No matter where you are in your fitness journey, I can help you succeed. Workouts and programs posted in the app are for any level of fitness. Plus, I will walk you through all exercises with easy-to-follow videos and simple written instructions. This means you’ll be able to do all the moves easily, accurately, and safely if you follow the descriptions. The reference to "heavy weights" and lifting "heavy" is unique to the exerciser. If you are new to lifting weights, a set of 8lb dumbbells may be what you deem as heavy and that is a great place to begin. No need to rush the journey- just means more to look forward to. *** Ensure you have your doctors clearance to begin an exercise program.
    Do I need to purchase equipment?
    You will need an array of dumbbells so you can progress and challenge yourself over the 6 weeks. Having access to a gym with a range of dumbbells would be ideal, but this workout can do done at home with the right sets of dumbbells. For those who are experienced with using a bar, you may choose to do your squats, deadlifts, etc with that instead of dumbbells.
    I'm injured. Can I do this program?
    This program is designed for a healthy body. Please ensure you have doctors clearance to begin an exercise program. With that said, if you would like to avoid a section due to an injury, then you should. Example: If your knees don't like lunges, then skip the lunges and work thru the other exercises. Always listen to your body before performing an exercise or increasing the weight of your dumbbells.
