Welcome to the 30 for 30 Challenge and Happy New Year!! As we all know, the new year is a time to start fresh, to form new habits, to gain mental clarity, or whatever else you may have in mind. To me, it comes down to one common denominator - we are all looking to GROW! What is the 30 for 30 challenge? I made this challenge to encourage you to take the new year into your own hands by encouraging healthy habits. SO...the challenge is simple. For the next 30 days, every day, you will complete each day of this program. You can expect to have days as simple as going on a walk while some days may be a 30 minute bodyweight routine. Whatever it is, I want to encourage you to move through space for 30 minutes each day! Why encourage 30 minutes of exercise each day? In my opinion, physical movement produces mental movement. Mental health is something that I hold very close to me and something I want to give to the world through fitness and seeing how good you can feel in your own skin through healthy habits. I believe stacking these little habits (like moving for 30 minutes a day) leads to mental clarity, productivity in your own life, and overall increase in well-being!

About Nick Walker

Online personal trainer

Growing up, I was an athlete my entire life. I went to college to play division 1 baseball at Austin Peay State University. After suffering an injury late in my career that held me back from my dream of playing professional baseball, I decided I did not want anyone else to miss out on their dreams. I have always had a passion for helping people and a passion for the body and how it works. After earning a Master’s Degree in Health & Human Performance, I decided to become a certified trainer where I worked at Equinox, Berkeley. From there, I took my interests outdoors and trained hundreds of clients with minimal equipment to help them achieve their goals in health and wellness. My aim is to help people have fun in the process of movement , even if it is just getting started on their journey. At the root of my fitness philosophy is positivity and mental clarity. We will not only work together on movement goals but work together achieve a healthy body AND mind.

What are the goals of the program?
The goal of this challenge is to inspire yourself to get your body moving consistently for 30 minutes each day. Moreover, to create the healthy habits for yourself in 2022 and notice how you FEEL throughout your days after consistently moving!
How to get the best outcome of the program?
Follow each day as it says — some days will be easier than others. If you feel up to it, do more that day!
How to schedule the program into a week?
Plan to take 30 minutes EACH DAY to set aside for YOURSELF! Put it on a schedule, a to do list, or whatever it might be for you to see it physically in front of you so that you feel it staring you in the face to get it done. Check it off when you’re done and notice how that feeling of productivity feels!
Who are these workouts for (skill-level)?
Any skill level is welcome! Most days of the challenge will be very basic — it is designed to jump start your habits, not to complete transform you in 30 days (that’s for after the challenge is over)!
What do I need to participate in this program?
You won’t need anything but a smile and a great attitude!
