What is "function"?

By definition, function is related to the way in which something works or operates. In the case of the body, it refers to ways in which we move. 

Functional strength then, is the ability to produce force in ways that are related to what we need to do in our lives. 

As athletes, we need strength, stability, endurance, agility and power through a full range of motion. In other words, we need access to our strength in a variety of positions and situations. 

This section is designed to teach you ways to develop these important qualities. 

Using these form breakdown tutorials, you can incorporate movements into your workouts and routines that fit your body and current level. Many of the videos in this section also offer ways to progress and regress exercises based on equipment availability.
