Is it safe to workout during pregnancy?
Absolutely, it’s safe—and highly encouraged—to work out during pregnancy! Movement and strength training can do wonders for both you and your baby. Think about the incredible changes your body will go through over the next nine months: as your baby grows, staying strong helps you carry that extra weight with greater ease, supports your joints, and can even help prevent or ease common pregnancy discomforts like back pain, hip tightness, and fatigue.
Beyond physical benefits, regular exercise can boost your mood, improve sleep, and help manage stress, all of which are incredibly valuable during pregnancy. Staying active also promotes healthy circulation, which is great for both you and baby.
Do I need to purchase equipment? You don’t need much equipment for this program—just the basics: a set of dumbbells, a small loop band, and a long loop band. This program is designed to be done at home or at the gym, so feel free to get creative with what you have! For dumbbells, it’s ideal to have at least three different weights (like 10s, 15s, and 20s) to allow for progressive loading.
Can I do this program at home?
Absolutely! You can do this program at home or in the gym. I know that as moms, finding time to get to the gym isn’t always easy, so I designed this program to be simple yet effective wherever you choose to work out. All you need is a set of dumbbells, a small loop band, and a long loop band to get started. This way, you’ll feel empowered to stay strong and active, no matter where you are!
