I loved that she planned the workouts based on what trimester you are in your pregnancy. I also loved starting/ending each workout with our breath.

As a first-time mom, I gained so much knowledge about tuning into my body and knowing what to focus on throughout pregnancy, labor, and postpartum.

MY STORY

Hi! I'm Megan—a Certified BIRTHFIT Coach, Certified Personal Trainer (CPT), and Doula with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. I’ve spent over six years walking alongside women in their prenatal and postpartum journeys, and I’m deeply passionate about helping you feel informed, supported, and strong through every stage of motherhood. Over seven years ago, I found out I was pregnant with my first baby. I had a solid background in fitness and exercise science, but I still felt completely lost. No one told me how to move or eat differently. I was nauseous, throwing up, and dealing with back pain—but all I heard was, “That’s normal.” So I stayed quiet and kept doing my usual workouts—even though they didn’t feel right. My first birth was rough. I was scared into an induction, told my baby might be “too big” (he ended up being my smallest), and tore badly. When I asked how many stitches I needed, my OB said, “Too many to count.” Postpartum was brutal. I felt broken and unsupported. With my second baby, I wanted something better—but it was 2020. Gyms were closed, support was minimal, and I tried to adapt high-intensity workouts, but they didn’t feel right. That labor was fast. I barely got the epidural. I tore again. Recovery was still hard. After that, I was done just surviving. I became a BIRTHFIT Coach, thinking it would be about fitness—but it opened my eyes. I learned how intentional movement, breath, and education can reshape the pregnancy and postpartum experience. I learned that birth is meant to transform us—not break us. I discovered that strategic training can reduce discomfort, lower the chances of unnecessary interventions, support smoother labor, and ease postpartum recovery. I realized I had always done my best—but there was a better way. With my third baby, I finally had the tools, knowledge, and support I’d been craving—and it made all the difference. I didn’t just survive—I thrived. Pregnancy and birth don’t have to be something we just “get through.” You deserve to feel strong, empowered, and deeply connected—to your body, your baby, and your experience. This is why I do what I do. You deserve real answers, compassionate guidance, and a team that truly supports you. I’d be honored to walk this journey with you.

Frequently asked questions

Is it safe to workout during pregnancy?
Absolutely, it’s safe—and highly encouraged—to work out during pregnancy! Movement and strength training can do wonders for both you and your baby. Think about the incredible changes your body will go through over the next nine months: as your baby grows, staying strong helps you carry that extra weight with greater ease, supports your joints, and can even help prevent or ease common pregnancy discomforts like back pain, hip tightness, and fatigue. Beyond physical benefits, regular exercise can boost your mood, improve sleep, and help manage stress, all of which are incredibly valuable during pregnancy. Staying active also promotes healthy circulation, which is great for both you and baby.
Can I do this program at home?
Absolutely! You can do this program at home or in the gym. I know that as moms, finding time to get to the gym isn’t always easy, so I designed this program to be simple yet effective wherever you choose to work out. All you need is a set of dumbbells, a small loop band, and a long loop band to get started. This way, you’ll feel empowered to stay strong and active, no matter where you are!
Do I need to purchase equipment?
You don’t need much equipment for this program—just the basics: a set of dumbbells, a small loop band, and a long loop band. This program is designed to be done at home or at the gym, so feel free to get creative with what you have! For dumbbells, it’s ideal to have at least three different weights (like 10s, 15s, and 20s) to allow for progressive loading.
What if i haven't worked out in a long time?
If you haven’t been working out prior to pregnancy, start with the Beginner Program—for a gentler start to the first trimester. It includes shorter, lower-intensity workouts designed to help you gradually build strength and confidence. You’ll follow the same format as the main program but with adjusted reps, rounds and intensity. Once completed, you’ll be ready to move into Main Track: Phase 2 with a solid foundation.
