for this beginner’s guide, we will working on the basics! we start out super simple, with the fundamentals of the movements then progress to different variations as time goes on. as always, you can reach out to me if you need any help, substitutions, or modifications to the exercises by sending me a message on here! some important things to note: - read the descriptions on the exercises as it’ll provide helpful cues for performing the exercises - the rest times i provide are suggestions/what i would do, if you need more time please feel free to take more rest between sets as needed! - the workouts will be different each week, but have a lot of similar movements because we want to build up on the skills you’re learning each week - this is an absolute beginner program, if you have familiarity in the gym, i would recommend the intermediate gym guide as it has more complexity and variety - some of the exercises will be listed until failure: this means do as many reps or hold for as many seconds as you physically can! keep notes of these numbers as they might change as time goes on :)

October of 2018 I decided that enough was enough and I wanted to make some changes in my life that could improve not only my physical health, but also my mental health. This was the start of my weight loss journey. Initially I started off slowly, attempting to make changes in my diet and going out for more daily walks. It wasn’t until that following year around January of 2019 I came across Kennedy’s workout page on Instagram. At the time, I remember she was promoting her first ever workout guide and at the time I felt as though I was finally ready to start going to the gym. I remember I saved up all my money so I could purchase her guide as a birthday present for myself. Using that guide, I was able to drop 30 lbs within roughly 6 months. I gained so much confidence in not only myself, but also my ability to navigate the gym. I eventually bought her second guide and I have been using her app as well. Whenever I’m in a gym rut, Kennedy and her guides are one of my favorites to return to in order to get right back on track.

Personal Trainer + Coach

Fitness was something I used to dread and avoid at all costs, but finding ways to celebrate my body through different kinds of movement has made it something I have integrated into my lifestyle in a sustainable way. I’ve lost 70 lbs through weight training, but here you can also find all kinds of workouts! I love circuits, roller skating, weight training, and any kind of movement that promotes feeling strong and empowered. I have a Bachelors of Science degree in Kinesiology, as well as my personal training certification through AFAA. I've taught group classes, personal trained, released some guides, and have been training for the last 5 years. I am so excited to get started training alongside you!
