As a health and wellness enthusiast, I have immersed myself in the fitness industry my whole life as an athlete. I grew up playing sports and worked at the local gym during high school and college, eventually working up to becoming a trainer. I played college basketball and eventually coached at the collegiate level. I was always running the strength and conditions sessions for the teams I was a part of. It was a passion and something I was naturally good at.
I am a huge believer in using physical fitness as a mental fitness tool. 3 years ago I lost my mother to ovarian cancer and that ripped my whole world apart. I shifted my personal training to not only focus on being an athlete and competing in charity events but also overall health and wellness through lifting weights for confidence, endurance training for heart health and putting quality foods into my body. I turned my pain into determination and that made me the woman I am today.
