Frequently Asked Questions

What levels are the Vinyasa classes?
Please check the description of each class for specific level. Or, browse by levels instead of styles.
How long as Vinyasa classes?
All classes vary in length. Please check before you start your chosen session.
Do we work into peak postures in these classes?
Usually, yes. This will be noted in the description, or in the title of the class.
Do we need props?
Sometimes! I'll always let you know before we start class. I also offer prop substitutes.
What is Vinyasa yoga?
You might have heard Vinyasa described as a "breath to movement flow" type of sequence. In general, this means you're holding one posture for only one breath, until you move onto the next one. I usually hold students longer than one breath so we can get into the nitty gritty of the shape. I prefer the definition and translation of Vinyasa of: "To place with intention." This is crucial in dynamic transitions and deeper movements, which we often work into in my classes.
