About Kayla Nielsen

Teacher, entrepreneur & creator practicing yoga both on & off of the mat.

I am a yoga teacher, humanitarian, and entrepreneur who is dedicated to serving people, animals, and the planet through environmental service. As the daughter of a yoga teacher, I have been practicing yoga asana for . Over time, the practice of Yoga has expanded beyond the physical & into a mental, spiritual, and holistic approach to life. I’ve accumulated over 1,000 hours of training from a variety of schools, styles, and methodologies around the world including: Baptiste Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Budokan, Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Reiki, and Yogic Philosophy. In the last 9 years, I’ve crafted a unique style by pulling bits and pieces from my continuous study and my own life’s evolution. I share my in-person offerings through international retreats and YTTs with my business GLOW Yoga Retreats. Additionally, I own and operate my own retreat center, Still Salty Escape, located in Northern Nicaragua. I hope you can practice with me in person one day soon!

Frequently asked questions

What level is this series?
This program is good for intermediate level yogis. Or, people who have taken at least 15 - 20 yoga classes already.
Do I need props for this class?
Yes. You need 2 blocks and 1 strap. I provide substitute options in the videos that require the props.
What will I learn in this series?
Each sequence provides a peak posture that are as follows: Class 1: Toe Stand Class 2: Extended Side Plank Class 3: Hop Through Class 4: Side Plank Variations Class 5: Floor Bow Class 6: Chin Stand Class 7: King Pigeon Class 8: All 7
What's the purpose of this series?
To build strength through mindful movement, long holds, and intuitive movement in the body.
Will we still flow, even though there's longer holds?
Of course! You know I can't make a class without flow :) Expect some fun, new transitions as well.
