Open level series. Partner Yoga Series is designed to help you experience familiar shapes in a new way through partner work. This program is a great way to connect with your partner, friend, or family through mindful movement. It is important to take these classes in order, as you MUST warm up before entering deeper backbends and Peak Postured offered. You can expect a thorough and effective warm up, spicy Peak Postures, and a delicious cool down, plus a partner meditation. Although this is a full body experience, we will primarily be working into opening the chest, shoulders, and core through safe, supported backbends. Please bring two sturdy blocks if you tend to be tighter in the hips, hamstrings, shoulders, and/or chest.

About Kayla Nielsen

Online personal trainer

I am a yoga teacher, humanitarian, and entrepreneur who is dedicated to serving people, animals, and the planet through environmental service. As the daughter of a yoga teacher, I have been practicing yoga asana for . Over time, the practice of Yoga has expanded beyond the physical & into a mental, spiritual, and holistic approach to life. I’ve accumulated over 1,000 hours of training from a variety of schools, styles, and methodologies around the world including: Baptiste Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Budokan, Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Reiki, and Yogic Philosophy. In the last 9 years, I’ve crafted a unique style by pulling bits and pieces from my continuous study and my own life’s evolution. I share my in-person offerings through international retreats and YTTs with my business GLOW Yoga Retreats. Additionally, I own and operate my own retreat center, Still Salty Escape, located in Northern Nicaragua. I hope you can practice with me in person one day soon!

Is it required that I have a partner, or can I do this alone?
You must do this with a partner in order to feel the full effects.
What are we working on anatomically in this series?
This is a full body experience. Primarily we will work on deep folds and backbends.
Can I do this with someone who doesn't have the same asana skill level as me?
YES! I demonstrate with my wife, who has little to no yoga experience and/or flexibility/strength.
Can I do this with someone who's a different size than I am?
Yes! I will share variations and modifications throughout for size differences.
Should I practice these classes in order?
YES! These classes are intentionally built on one another.
