About Kayla Nielsen

Online personal trainer

I am a yoga teacher, humanitarian, and entrepreneur who is dedicated to serving people, animals, and the planet through environmental service. As the daughter of a yoga teacher, I have been practicing yoga asana for 21 years. Over time, the practice of Yoga has expanded beyond the physical & into a mental, spiritual, and holistic approach to life. I’ve accumulated over 1,000 hours of training from a variety of schools, styles, and methodologies around the world including: Baptiste Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Budokan, Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Reiki, and Yogic Philosophy. In the last 9 years, I’ve crafted a unique style by pulling bits and pieces from my continuous study and my own life’s evolution. I share my in-person offerings through international retreats and YTTs with my business GLOW Yoga Retreats. Additionally, I own and operate my own retreat center, Still Salty Escape, located in Northern Nicaragua. I hope you can practice with me in person one day soon!

What are the goals of the program?

Why is it important to practice off the mat as well?
Asana (the physical postures) are only one of the eight limbs of yoga. To practice yoga more holistically, it’s imperative to integrate that which we accumulate on our mat, into our lives & into the world.
Where should I start?
Any video is a great place to jump in, as they are all creation with the intention to begin at anytime.
How often should I try a new Off The Mat Practice?
As often as you can! Remember, you can always work on fully integrating just one first. Slowly add on when you’re ready.
What will I gain from these lessons?
You’ll gain holistic integration of the yoga practice beyond only asana (physical postures).
