This 4 week series provides a combination of targeted drills for mobility work in key joints, active flexibility in specific muscles and ligaments, and strengthening exercises for stabilization as you open the entire body.

About Kayla Nielsen

Teacher, entrepreneur & creator practicing yoga both on & off of the mat.

I am a yoga teacher, humanitarian, and entrepreneur who is dedicated to serving people, animals, and the planet through environmental service. As the daughter of a yoga teacher, I have been practicing yoga asana for . Over time, the practice of Yoga has expanded beyond the physical & into a mental, spiritual, and holistic approach to life. I’ve accumulated over 1,000 hours of training from a variety of schools, styles, and methodologies around the world including: Baptiste Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Budokan, Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Reiki, and Yogic Philosophy. In the last 9 years, I’ve crafted a unique style by pulling bits and pieces from my continuous study and my own life’s evolution. I share my in-person offerings through international retreats and YTTs with my business GLOW Yoga Retreats. Additionally, I own and operate my own retreat center, Still Salty Escape, located in Northern Nicaragua. I hope you can practice with me in person one day soon!

Frequently asked questions

What level is this series?
This is an all level series, which means it's suited for everyone from total beginners to advanced practioners.
Can I do this series if I'm not flexible at all?
Yes! You are the target audience for this series! Expect to not only open the body through safe, effective drills- but to also strengthen into opposing muscle groups in order to support your newfound space.
Would this series be helpful for me even if I already have flexiblity?
Of course! Revisiting foundations is what will help your advanced skill building down the line. Plus, if you're hypermobile, this series will teach you about mobility and active flexibility, rather than passive stretching.
Do I need to do the classes in order?
The classes are ordered intentionally, starting from the ground up. They also build on one another. However, you can go directly to classes that are best suited for you if you prefer.
Do I need do every class in order to gain the benefits?
Not necessarily. Although trying every class will certainly help!
Can I take this series if I'm hypermobile?
Omg, please do. I'm a fanatic about teaching active flexibility and practical mobility, rather than passive stretching in yoga. All classes will teach you how to stabilize your joints, even as you gain more flexiblity.
