About Kayla Nielsen

Online personal trainer

I am a yoga teacher, humanitarian, and entrepreneur who is dedicated to serving people, animals, and the planet through environmental service. As the daughter of a yoga teacher, I have been practicing yoga asana for . Over time, the practice of Yoga has expanded beyond the physical & into a mental, spiritual, and holistic approach to life. I’ve accumulated over 1,000 hours of training from a variety of schools, styles, and methodologies around the world including: Baptiste Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Budokan, Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Reiki, and Yogic Philosophy. In the last 9 years, I’ve crafted a unique style by pulling bits and pieces from my continuous study and my own life’s evolution. I share my in-person offerings through international retreats and YTTs with my business GLOW Yoga Retreats. Additionally, I own and operate my own retreat center, Still Salty Escape, located in Northern Nicaragua. I hope you can practice with me in person one day soon!

Frequently asked questions

How do I know if I'm ready to practice Intermediate classes?
These classes are intended for people with a foundational knowledge of yoga (10 classes or more). And for people who are looking to spice up their practice with a little more challenge.
What's the difference between Moderate/Intermediate and Intermediate?
The Moderate/Intermediate classes are SLIGHTLY less challenging, and likely break down alignment in shapes more thoroughly. Intermediate is more challenging, and likely moves more quickly through foundational shapes with the assumption you are already familiar with how to get in/out of them.
Do you offer modifications even though the class is Intermediate?
Yes! I will offer modifications through props or through body shifts.
