Before you say, "but I can't do arm balances yet...." Just know that I taught these exact classes to my wife who has never done Crow Pose before. The purpose of this series is to TEACH you how to safely and correctly do a variety of arm balances with control. 21 Day Arm Balance Play is a 3 week series that provides 6 unique drill classes, 6 intentionally sequenced peak posture classes, and 4 guided meditations to support mental strength and openness alongside the body.

About Kayla Nielsen

Teacher, entrepreneur & creator practicing yoga both on & off of the mat.

I am a yoga teacher, humanitarian, and entrepreneur who is dedicated to serving people, animals, and the planet through environmental service. As the daughter of a yoga teacher, I have been practicing yoga asana for . Over time, the practice of Yoga has expanded beyond the physical & into a mental, spiritual, and holistic approach to life. I’ve accumulated over 1,000 hours of training from a variety of schools, styles, and methodologies around the world including: Baptiste Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Budokan, Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Reiki, and Yogic Philosophy. In the last 9 years, I’ve crafted a unique style by pulling bits and pieces from my continuous study and my own life’s evolution. I share my in-person offerings through international retreats and YTTs with my business GLOW Yoga Retreats. Additionally, I own and operate my own retreat center, Still Salty Escape, located in Northern Nicaragua. I hope you can practice with me in person one day soon!

What level is this series?
The drill classes are all level, and the flows are intermediate level.
Can I do this series if I've never done an arm balance?
Yes! This series TEACHES you how to arm balances safely and correctly.
What arm balances do we do in this series?
Week 1: FOUNDATION -Crow Pose -8 Angle Pose Week 2: HIPS -Flying Pigeon Pose -Flying Lizard Pose Week 3: TWISTS -Side Crow Pose -Grasshopper Pose
What areas of the body are targeted in the drill classes?
We primarily focus on the shoulders and core in the drills in order to build muscle memory for each arm balance in the full flow.
Do I have to do the classes in order?
Not necessarily. Although if you're newer to arm balances, I highly recommend taking the classes in order as they do build on one another in terms of difficulty and strength. The drills will be complimentary to all of the classes.
