About Johana Hernandez

Fitness Coach

Hi! I’m Johana, a Precision Nutrition certified nutrition coach and AFAA fitness coach with a Master of Science in Applied Exercise Science with a Concentration in Sports Nutrition from Concordia University Chicago. I discovered my passion for nutrition and fitness at a young age while pursuing my own health goals. Eventually, I built healthy habits that have served me to this day. Since I see so many people struggle with achieving their goals AND maintaining them, I want to pass along what I've learned from experience and my education to others so they can stop feeling confused and lost, especially with so much misinformation these days. My services revolve around an evidence-based approach with long-lasting results. If you're looking for real progress, you're in the right place. Frequently asked questions

Do I need to purchase equipment?
It depends on the workout! Playbook has a lot of workouts that require no equipment. We also have workouts that require minimal equipment (like dumbbells or a yoga mat) and some that require weight-lifting machines. There’s something for everyone — regardless of equipment — to help you get in shape.
Is this program for beginners?
You need to be familiar with certain movement patterns and equipment to use this program. Highly suggest to do it with a personal trainer if you are a beginner.
Are there modifications?
In my program, there is an at-home and modifications workout you can follow with minimal equipment.
