Welcome to The Foundation! The first strength focused program inside my app! 💪🏻
This program is called The Foundation because building strength first only benefits us in all other areas of our lives - running gets easier, you can bring in groceries in one trip, keeping up with your kids won’t feel as challenging, clothes will fit better, the list honestly can keep going.
On top of following the following workouts, I also challenge you to work on building healthy habits consistently as well for optimal results. Healthy habits include:
- Hitting your protein goal. Aim for 1g of protein per goal body weight (if your weight goal is 150 pounds, consume 150g of protein)
- Drinking 100oz of water
- Getting in 8-10k steps
- Dialing in sleep and building a night time routine
Each exercise that is filmed is done from my house but when I put myself through this program, it was done in a gym because I had access to heavier weights so your home gym is limited, I encourage you to get into the gym to really maximize your potential!
This program needs limited equipment - dumbbells, kettlebell, box - so if you have a variety of weight options at home, then you’re all set!
The workout split is:
M: legs
T: push & core
W: active recovery day
T: legs
F: pull
SA: long walk (can sub for running, biking, or hiking)
SU: rest
