About the program

As a firefighter there are some things that you cant avoid. One of those is being up all night running calls. This can be a challenge to overcome on a continual basis. Now some experts will tell you to get a different job or to change stations but these are not realistic or helpful in the moment. In order to impact the problem we first have to accept it as a reality and then start to apply the right tactics so we can feel and see the immediate benefits. Because of the interrupted sleep our bodies end up not processing sugar as well and as result our energy production/processing is affected leading to a tired, groggy, grumpy inpatient disposition. Our goal with this protocol is to make our bodies process energy more effectively through the building up of bigger, better and more mitochondria.

    About Evan Halquist

    I’ve been a firefighter for over 20 years and 10 of those have been at the busiest station in LA. During this time I’ve seen countless firefighters become injured, sick and burnout from the overwhelming workload that’s asked of our first responder community. I’ve figured out how to become resilient, strong and healthy all the while being under tremendous amounts of stress, sleep deprived and injured I want to show you what I’ve learned the hard way. I’ve taught health and wellness in all areas of the fire department. From dispatchers, lifeguards, in the academy, in operations to the chief officer level I’ve truly developed a unique system that allows firefighters to thrive not just survive.
