About Erica Wald

My Pelvic Floor Story

I spent my pregnancy ignoring every warning sign my body gave me. Leaking when I jogged. Intense round ligament pain. Pain during sex. I pushed through because that's what you do, right? Then labor happened: 36 hours followed by 5 hours of pushing with zero pelvic floor prep. My body was decimated, and honestly, I didn't care. I was too focused on getting back to my pre-baby body, convinced that meant hitting the gym hard and losing weight as fast as possible. Nobody told me I could heal my pelvic floor AND lose weight at the same time. So I didn't. Nine months postpartum, I loaded up a barbell and deadlifted my way into a low back injury triggered by pelvic floor dysfunction that stopped me dead in my tracks. I couldn't run. I couldn't jump. I couldn't play with my son without worrying I'd leak. That injury broke something open in me, though, because for the first time I actually cared about fixing what was broken on the inside. What started as desperation became obsession. I learned what it actually meant to heal from the pelvic floor up while building strength. I got my life back. I got my confidence back. And somewhere along the way, I realized I wasn't alone in this story. That's why I'm here. I've walked thousands of women through the same healing journey because I lived it. I know what it feels like to think you're broken. I know what it feels like to get better. This sits at about 1,850 characters, which gives you room to adjust if needed. It leads with vulnerability, shows real consequences (not just problems), and lands on hope earned through experience rather than promised. Want me to adjust the tone, trim it down, or reshape any part?
