This is the program for the youth wrestler that is dedicated and looking to make gains during the spring and summer.
I know that technically there is no “off season” for many wrestlers, but it is important to prioritize growth and strength during this time of year. And because many athletes are either playing a spring sport or are still in the mats for FS/Greco, I’ve structured this program so that you can choose as much as your schedule allows.
Each week your busy wrestler can do the bare minimum - they will have 2 strength based workouts. These workouts are short and will focus on developing strength and movement competency in the core lifts: deadlift, squat, and press.
If their schedule allows you can then add in additional workouts: Speed and Movement Day, Blue Collar Endurance, Injury Prevention, and Meathead Bodybuilding.
So whether they have time for 1 workout a week or are super motivated and want to train daily, this program will give them all of the tools they need to dominate on the mats with strength and physicality.
