About the program

Run Strong is a 12-week hybrid training program designed to help you break beyond your limits, blending running & strength training to maximize speed, endurance, power, & functional performance. If you want to train with intensity, purpose, & the belief that you can do hard things, then this program is for you! If you have a body, you’re an athlete. Train like one & see what you’re truly capable of achieving - both physically & mentally. This journey will build more than muscle & stamina; it will strengthen your resilience, sharpen your discipline, & instill confidence in every step & every rep. I really liked the HIIT cardio workouts because I want to get into running more and doing small intervals really motivated me to run more often. About Claire Thomas

Hey there, I'm Claire!

I’m so glad you’re here & hope that this app helps you fall in love with feeling strong, both physically & mentally. A little bit about me…Fitness & athletics have been my thing since I was just a little kid. I went on to compete in college as a Division 1 hurdler & heptathlete for the University of Oregon. My experience was unfortunate & I lost my passion for the sport. I developed an eating disorder & I quit my team. On a mission to find myself again, I left the country & I eventually discovered that my true purpose was not for winning races, but for helping others win the best version of themselves through health & fitness. I also found my incredible passion for traveling & exploring the great outdoors. I’m not very good at staying in one place for too long, so naturally, I converted a van into my tiny home that I lived in full time for almost 3 years. I now split my time between Oregon & Maui. My training & nutrition programs have helped tens of thousands of people all over the world create healthier, sustainable relationships with fitness & food. I want nothing more than to help you, too. What are the goals of this program?
The goals for this hybrid training program are to increase your running speed & endurance, while building strength in your lifts. In doing so, your overall athletic performance & functionality throughout your day-to-day life will improve. If you are wanting to train like an athlete & to take your training to the next level, this is the program for you!
What is the breakdown/training split?
This is a 12 week training program broken down into three 4 week progressive blocks. Each week contains 5 strength training workouts + 5 running workouts. Weekly split - Monday: Lower Body + Easy Run Tuesday: Chest & Triceps + Sprint Intervals Wednesday: Back & Biceps + Long Steady Run Thursday: Mobility/Active Recovery Friday: Shoulders & Core + Tempo Intervals Saturday: Full Body + Progressive Run Sunday: Rest
What fitness level is this program recommended for?
This is not a program designed for those who are brand new to fitness; however, every workout can be adjusted & modified to work best for your level of fitness. I have provided both a beginner option & an intermediate/advanced option for the running workouts.
What equipment is required for this program?
You will need access to a fully equipped gym that includes a squat rack, barbell + plates, dumbbells or kettlebells, a bench, cable machines & a med ball. If you do not have some of these pieces of equipment, that’s okay. You can always substitute exercises as needed and I can provide you with alternative options.
Is this a program I can follow for a specific event?
Absolutely! Whether you are training for a specific running event like Hyrox, a 5k or a half marathon, these workouts aren’t programmed for one specific athletic event. They will improve your overall strength, endurance, speed and performance that would translate well into that big race you’ve been thinking about. You can always adjust workouts as needed based on your goals!
What if I am already a member of your app? Is it included?
Run Strong is a stand alone program that is accessible through my app, but not included with a membership. This also means that if you are not currently a member of my app, you do not need to subscribe in order to purchase this program.
How long do I have access to this program once purchased?
You will have access to it for life since Run Strong is a stand alone program. Regardless of if you cancel your monthly or annual app membership, it is yours to keep & repeat as many times as you’d like.
