What are the goals of this program? The goals for this hybrid training program are to increase your running speed & endurance, while building strength in your lifts. In doing so, your overall athletic performance & functionality throughout your day-to-day life will improve. If you are wanting to train like an athlete & to take your training to the next level, this is the program for you!
What is the breakdown/training split? This is a 12 week training program broken down into three 4 week progressive blocks. Each week contains 5 strength training workouts + 5 running workouts.
Weekly split -
Monday: Lower Body + Easy Run
Tuesday: Chest & Triceps + Sprint Intervals
Wednesday: Back & Biceps + Long Steady Run
Thursday: Mobility/Active Recovery
Friday: Shoulders & Core + Tempo Intervals
Saturday: Full Body + Progressive Run
Sunday: Rest
What fitness level is this program recommended for? This is not a program designed for those who are brand new to fitness; however, every workout can be adjusted & modified to work best for your level of fitness. I have provided both a beginner option & an intermediate/advanced option for the running workouts.
What equipment is required for this program? You will need access to a fully equipped gym that includes a squat rack, barbell + plates, dumbbells or kettlebells, a bench, cable machines & a med ball. If you do not have some of these pieces of equipment, that’s okay. You can always substitute exercises as needed and I can provide you with alternative options.
Is this a program I can follow for a specific event? Absolutely! Whether you are training for a specific running event like Hyrox, a 5k or a half marathon, these workouts aren’t programmed for one specific athletic event. They will improve your overall strength, endurance, speed and performance that would translate well into that big race you’ve been thinking about. You can always adjust workouts as needed based on your goals!
What if I am already a member of your app? Is it included? Run Strong is a stand alone program that is accessible through my app, but not included with a membership. This also means that if you are not currently a member of my app, you do not need to subscribe in order to purchase this program.
How long do I have access to this program once purchased? You will have access to it for life since Run Strong is a stand alone program. Regardless of if you cancel your monthly or annual app membership, it is yours to keep & repeat as many times as you’d like.
