There is SO much more that goes into a handstand than simply balancing upside down. It takes focus, clarity, control, awareness, safety & a strong mind & body. This course is called “Journey to Handstand” because we teach you the steps & the real journey towards defying gravity & feeling comfortable & confident while doing so. To create this course, I teamed up with my dear friend, Dawn, who I in Hawaii. Not only is she is a handstand expert, but she has a true gift for teaching & sharing her knowledge with others. I was absolutely honored when she agreed to building this program with me for you all. Our goal is for you to have FUN & to take this course at your own pace. We have drills & lessons for all levels & we welcome everyone. Thank you for being here. We are so excited to get started! A message from Dawn: Aloha, my name is Dawn! I am a yoga teacher, mentor, healer, and wellness guide for body mind soul transformation. I live in Maui and I’m from NY! I’ve diligently been studying and practicing yoga handstands for the last 6 years (besides being a gymnast as a child). When I started going upside down, I thought, “I could never figure this out!” It was through dedication to understanding the dynamics of what a handstand is, consistent practice, and learning from people who were doing it, that I was able to find my handstand practice. What Claire and I are sharing with you is the journey of how to go upside down safely, to build inner strength, to take your handstand outside in the elements, and most importantly, to have fun!

Howzit!? 🤙🏼 I’m Claire, a certified personal trainer, nutrition coach & yoga teacher from Oregon. After my career as a Division 1 sprinter & heptathlete ended, my passion for sport transformed into something deeper: a love of movement in all its forms, & a calling to help others discover their own strength from the inside out. In 2017, during my senior year of college, I launched CPT Fit Co. What began as a side passion project has since grown into a global community of hundreds of thousands whose bodies & lives have been transformed by the program you’ll find here in this app. Along my journey, I’ve explored a variety of different training styles while traveling the world & living a nomadic lifestyle (including three years of van life), which taught me how important it is to make fitness not only effective, but also flexible, fun, & accessible, whether you’re moving with just your bodyweight, unrolling a yoga mat on the beach, or strength training in a fully equipped gym. Here, you’ll find programs that reflect this journey, functional cross training, kettlebell flows, home & gym workouts, running programs, follow along yoga & mobility & so much more. My goal for this app is not about chasing aesthetics… it’s about falling in love with the process of taking care of yourself. Frequently asked questions

What kind of handstand do we learn?
I want to make it clear off the bat that Dawn & I are teaching how to do a yoga handstand, not a CrossFit or gymnastics handstand. We are really diving into the mind, body, soul connection, & you will find that this program is about much more than just balancing upside down.
How long is this program?
While there is a progressional order in which you are meant to flow through this course, there is no timeline! You are meant to take it at your own pace & fit the drills & the lessons into your routine however & whenever your time & body allows it.
How often should I be practicing the handstand drills/taking the classes?
As often as you’d like to! You can take a few minutes every day to practice handstands, as long as your body & mind are in a stable place. Consistency is key & the more time you spend upside down, the easier it becomes.
Should I practice my handstands before or after my workout of the day?
This is totally up to you. I don’t recommend practicing your handstand if your muscles are super sore & fatigued, though. Make sure you are always warmed up properly.
