Hi! I’m Santina — dancer, choreographer, and the OG Bitch behind Basic Bitch Boogie. For me, movement has never been just about steps, counts, or technique. It’s been about survival, healing, and finding my way back to myself again and again. Like so many, my body has carried trauma, chronic pain, and chronic illness. For years, I felt disconnected... like my body was something I had to fight, fix, or shrink. Dance gave me glimpses of freedom, but traditional fitness culture often layered shame, pressure, and perfectionism on top of that freedom. I knew there had to be another way. That’s why I created Basic Bitch Boogie: a trauma-informed movement experience that puts healing, joy, and authenticity at the center. Here, every move counts, whether you’re seated, standing, or somewhere in between. It’s not about keeping up, burning out, or performing for anyone else. It’s about reconnecting, releasing, and reclaiming your body on your own terms. For over a decade, I’ve worked in the dance and performing arts world as an instructor, choreographer, studio owner, and stage manager. I’ve trained dancers from their very first plié to their senior solos, built community through my mobile studio Boom Studios, and consulted with studios and creatives on culture and vibe marketing. I bring all of that experience, the art, the strategy, the grit, and the joy, into this space. But more than credentials, what I bring is lived experience. I know what it’s like to sit in pain, to feel disconnected, to wonder if movement is even possible today. I also know the quiet power of taking a breath, rolling your shoulders, or swaying to a beat and realizing you’re still here. That’s what BBB is built for — those moments of reconnection that stack over time into real, embodied change. This platform is for anyone who’s ever thought, “I don’t belong in that class” or “my body can’t do that.” It’s for those navigating pain, illness, or trauma who still crave expression and joy. Most workout apps focus on burning calories, chasing perfection, or keeping up. BBB is trauma-informed, joy-centered, and built for real bodies with real challenges. Instead of one rigid path, you’ll choose from four Impacts, each with seated and standing options, plus The Bitch Kit, our toolbox of stretching, mobility, and strengthening flows.
I’m a beginner, is this for me?
Absolutely! Each 3–5 minute follow-along is designed to meet you where you’re at and is designed for all levels. With seated and standing versions inside every Impact, plus The Bitch Kit for extra support, you’ll always find a safe, accessible option that works for your body and energy level today. No dance background required.
Do I need to purchase equipment?
Right now, all you need is your body, a sturdy chair (if you're doing the seated option) and some space to move. That’s it! Every flow is designed to be accessible with no special equipment. In the future, we’ll introduce optional equipment like bands or light weights — but they’ll never be required to get started.
What if I have chronic pain, illness, or trauma?

How often should I do the workouts?
That’s up to you. Some members move daily, others just a few times a week. Both are valid. As we like to say: Intention sparks. Consistency fuels. Every step seals. To keep things fresh, there are two new video drops each week: 🩵­ Seated on Sundays 🩵­ Standing on Wednesdays Both use the same song, just different movement options. Each week, videos come from one of the four Impacts. By the end of the month, you’ll have fresh seated and standing flows across them all.
Why call it Basic Bitch Boogie?
Because we’re reclaiming it. Fitness and dance culture often layer rules, shame, and elitism on top of movement. BBB flips that script. “Basic” means simple, accessible, and back to the foundation. “Bitch” is a playful reclaiming of power — unapologetic, bold, and fully you. And “Boogie”? That’s joy in motion. Together, it’s a reminder: movement doesn’t have to be fancy or perfect to be freeing, healing, and fun.
