Hey and welcome to my online yoga studio! I started doing yoga during my years as a STUDENT-ATHLETE at the University of North Carolina to help me manage the stress of balancing social life, academics, athletics, and the process of discovering who I was away from my small childhood town! I love how I felt whenever I left a yoga class, it was like I felt lighter, more myself on my mat. It was a homecoming to myself that brought me out of a pretty empty place I hit in 2016. This is when I knew I had found something that was worth spending what little free time I had as an athlete on. This devotion only increased when I made the USA WOMEN’S NATIONAL FIELD HOCKEY TEAM and saw that it also helped me to feel better at training. Starting In 2019 I worked with a sports psychology professional on training mindfulness for performance and in 2020 received my 200 HR YTT. My relationship with yoga became greater as I began using it in a two-fold way, to continue to manage life stressors AND to assist my sports performance.
It is now my mission to help other HIGH PERFORMANCE PROFESSIONALS reach their potential💪🏼🏅.
I will be sharing programs and collections made with the elite athlete in mind, focusing on recovery from games, mental training, limiting belief and shadow work for performance, mobility and balance etc.
Whether you are an elite athlete or not you can benefit from the practice of performance yoga in other areas of your life.
As I started with yoga for stress relief and found a safe place to surrender my worries and fears, I aim to create a space safe for you to come to without the judgement and expectations that permeates the athletic community. What I hope for each member is a healing of body, mind and spirit.
