My arms feel like they are made of rubber!!

my buddy and I hopped back into our arm day split. excited to hit these designated days again.

we did a cable curl on a seated machine, but do what is in close proximity. curls and shoulder press. this can be machines or dumbbells

- curl up and slowly release back down, repeat 
- Adjust the seat on the preacher bench so that your upper arms sit comfortably on the padding when seated
- Sit on the preacher bench, placing your upper arm about shoulder-width apart on the pad, and grip the bar with the arms extended, using a semi-supinated grip (palms up and in)
- Curl the bar upward until the biceps are fully contracted, your forearms are perpendicular to the floor
- Pause at peak contraction, before slowly lowering the weight back down to starting position

EZ-Bar Preacher Curls

- From a seated position, raise the dumbbells to shoulder height on each side, and twist so that your palms are facing forward
- Keep your head up and eyes facing forward
- Keeping your elbows slightly in front of the body but still pointed out to the sides, press the dumbbells straight up overhead by contracting your shoulder muscles and extending your elbows
- Stop just shy of full elbow lockout at the top, then slowly lower the weight back down to the start position

Tri Extension

- Sit tall with a straight torso and the dumbbells by your side at arms length with the palms of the hand facing in
- While maintaining the torso in a stationary position (no swinging), lift the dumbbells laterally to your sides with a slight bend in the elbows and the hands slightly tilted forward as if pouring water in a glass
- Continue to go up until you arms are parallel to the floor
- Pause at the top of the movement before lowering the dumbbells back down to the starting position

Lateral DB Raise

- Lying on the incline bench, hold a dumbbell in each hand at arms length
- Keeping the upper arm stationary, curl the dumbbells up until your biceps are fully contracted and the dumbbells are at shoulder level
- Pause at peak contraction before lowering the dumbbells back down to starting position with control

Incline DB Curls

- Set the dual adjustable pulleys to the appropriate height and adjust the weight
- The pulleys should be above your head
- Facing into the machine, grab the left pulley with your right hand and the right pulley with your left hand, crossing both arms in front of you
- Keeping your core braced, your head and chest up, extend through the elbows to press the handles down across your body and out to your sides
- Pause at full contraction of your triceps before returning the handles to the starting position with control by bending your elbows

Cross Cable Tri Extension

- Set up a cable pulley machine so the pulley system is positioned at the lowest setting
- Stand in front of the low cable pulley and grasp the attachment with an underhand grip
- Keeping the upper arm stationary, exhale and curl the attachment until your bicep is fully contracted and the hand is at shoulder level
- Pause at peak contraction before lowering the weight back down to starting position with control
- Complete desired reps then repeat on the opposite side

Single Arm Cable Curls

- Attach a rope to the bottom pulley of the cable machine
- Grasp the rope with both hands, turn your back to the machine, holding the rope with your elbows in close to your head and the arms bent, knuckles aimed at the machine
- Exhale as you press the cable rope forward and up, extending your arms 
- Pause and contract the triceps before flexing at the elbows, lowering the weight back to starting position with control
