About Claudette Sariya

Daughter, Fitness Coach, & Diversity Advocate

Claudette Sariya is a fitness coach and health writer based in New York City, known for her dedication to promoting wellness and inclusivity within the fitness community. Being far from her parents, she wanted to make sure that they had guidance in maintaining their fitness as they age. She created EMPOWER as a way to provide workouts for her father, and to stay connected even over miles apart. Claudette is a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) certified personal trainer and senior fitness specialist. Sariya emphasizes strength training and high-intensity interval training (HIIT) in her coaching practice.
